The ninth grade cheerleaders are elected early in the school year and serve in a train¬ ing position for the Varsity squad. They participate in the pep rallies, help with painting signs for the games and perform at ninth grade football and basketball games. The experience these ninth graders get gives them a better chance of being elected varsity cheerleaders in the spring. Mrs. Barbara Bennett sponsors this group of girls.
