Mu Alpha Theta is a chapter of The Na¬ tional High School Mathematics Club and sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. The purpose of the club is to stimulate interest in mathematics by providing public recogni¬ tion of superior mathematical scholarship, and by promoting various mathematical ac¬ tivities. Mrs. Jacque Treese, club sponsor, is a 1983 Presidential Award Winner. Here she poses with some members of the club.
