41 Aliens In Our Midst Invasion! Green Mountain High School has been invaded by eleven aliens. But, there is a catch, these aliens don't have green skin. These stu- dents are all foreign exchange stu- dents from places such as Sweden, Japan, Italy, Australia, France, or even West Germany. Their sponsors can include ICYC, Sister Cities International Academy, YFU, EF or AISE. Depending on the group each student is in, will determine how long they stay. All of the Europe- ans will stay a full year, while the Australiens will fly home after one semester is up. I had the pleasure to talk to some of the exchange students myself. Judit Gasper from West Ger- many said the sweets are good, but the other food is too plain. All of the students agreed that American food was splendid. Hamburgers were among the most commonly loved food by the students with french fries running a close second. They also agreed that MTV, Music Television, was their favorite thing to watch. I also asked, What is your sin- gle most favorite thing here in America? Maiko Kondo, of Ja- pan, said everything in America was wonderful, especially the hot dogs! Her comment matched by Australien born Geoffrey Mac- Donalds, I love the social life in America! Even though they like it here in America, all of them admit miss- ing their family and friends dear- ly. So, good luck here in America!
