Dear Reader When I took on the responsibility as editor, I thought l had it made with fun and games. It was a lot of fun, however, l wasn't expecting so much work and frustration. At the end of the l984-85 school year we chose a cover design that we thought everyone would be proud of. We stuck with the cover color sequence but wanted to do something a little different. The yearbook staff liked the cover design element using rounded corners on every page becoming a theme in itself. Many people take for granted all the work producing a yearbook consists of. The yearbook staff has worked very hard to put out a good yearbook. The main photographers this year were David Rodenbaugh and Matt Leyba who was new to the staff. He proved his photographic abilities at the beginning of the year and has out done himself ever since. Nina Schnieder who had to give up yearbook at semester was a tremendous asset to the staff for pictures and copy. Karrie Bliss and Wendy Whittekiend were also new to the staff this year. The effort they put forth was phenomenal!! Wendy has become notorious for her ability to write good quick copy and receives a lot of credit for the current events section. Karrie, from the start was willing to take on anything set in her path. She was a very strong, dedicated worker. Cambria Olson was new to the staff. However, working with the yearbook is not a foreign subject to her. She was editor of Dunstans yearbook last year. Pat Cary and Nancy Rasmussen became members of the staff second semester. Nancy, from the beginning was always willing to take on any assignment. She was also a terrific photographer. Pat was constantly taking on layouts any time somebody needed them. Pat was there to help even when he had other things to do. This is John Schallenkamp's second year with the yearbook staff. John was our key man. Without his ability to work with the computer and to type as fast as he does, this book wouldn't have gotten compieted so soon. Dana Spittler, junior, was an incredibly outstanding student this year, as always. She has been on the staff for three years. She knows all there is to know about the yearbook. Dana showed a lot of care and loyalty. That loyalty bailed many people out of tough situations many times. Ann Orton started the yearbook staff her freshman year, She remained with us until the middle of her junior year. She started out the year as a junior editor but chose to leave the staff at semester. She was a very strong emotional pegssnnwho accomplished a lot, especially under pressure. Ann was missed a great deal when she left. tThanks Ann. J. . ' Further thanks should goto 'Andrea Meanor for being the calm influence in the fall, Jason I-iokenstrom for being such a great runner and also taking on pages which needed help, Jeff Thomas for finally learning his way through the building, Kristen Schultz for doing a terrific job on Homecoming and all her other assignments, Laura Bier for writing anything given to her, Scott Spendlove for hailing so many pages out when they were needed in a hurry, Lori and Shannon Peppmuller for the work contributed and thanks also to Molly Campbell who came to the staff a couple of weeks into the second semester. She was eager to write the stories handed to her with incredible quality and speed: She was a great asset to the staff. We are very proud of many different things we tried to accomplish in this years book. l know I can speak for the entire staff when I say we hope you enjoy this yearbook. Sincerely yours, t t J Jonna Bchm Ramblins Editor I986. Rambling ..- 215
