G. M. J. C. G. NI. C. scored in the first few minutes of play. Norwich after taking the opening kick-off on their twenty-five punted to the h-Iountaineer 40-yard line. Chornyak skirted end for twenty yards on the First play, and several plays later he went over from the I4-yard line to give G. NI. C. a 6 to 0 lead. The Cadets held the Green and Gold in check for the remainder of the half. Early in the third period G. NI. C. blocked a punt and recovered on the Norwich 20-yard line. Nlinogue, Hoey and Ross alternated in advancing the ball to the I-yard line where Ross plunged through for a touchdown. Near the end ofthe period the Nlountaineers gained a possession of the ball on the Norwich 20. On the first play of the final period NIinogue passed to Hoey for a first down on the nine from which point Ross plunged for another score and place kicked the point giving G. NI. C. a IQ to 0 lead. Ross kicked-off to Norwich and Captain Novak blocked a punt on the Norwich 39-yard line, G. NI. C. recovering on the Norwich 15. Ross then plunged through center, bumped off the safety man and went over for his third touchdown and kicked the point making the score 26 to 0. C. Late in the first quarter the Green and Gold pushed over a score after a 50- yard sustained drive with Gordy Hughes plunging the last two yards for the touchdown. In the second period Montpeliel' stopped the G. NI. C. running attack, but the Nlountaineers took to the air and scored another touchdown. Chornyak passed from Nlontpeliefs 30-yard line to Gordy Hughes, who took the ball on the ten and went over only to have the play called back as G. NI. C. was offside. On the next play Chornyak again passed to Hughes who took the ball on the five and went over for a touchdown giving the Green and Gold a I2 to 0 lead. During the second half the ofhcials took the game away from the players by in- flicting numerous penalties. Nlost of the play was in mid field, howover, G. NI. C. once advanced to Nlontpelierls 15-yard line-only to be pushed back by penalties. The Green and Gold lost the services of two ends, Sennett and Sunderland, who suffered injuries which kept them out for the remainder of the season. GREEN NIOUNTAIN 6 VERMONT FROSH 0 ocrosen 26, AT BUraL1No'1'oN lX'Iike Ch0rnyak's 6-yard end sweep, late in the final period, culminating a 60- yard drive, enabled the NIOuntaineers to defeat the Vermont Frosh 6 to 0 and remain in the undefeated class. The Frosh, the best in several years, at Vermont, presented a stiff defense which stopped G. NI. C. in its tracks for three periods, while the Cats threatened to go places with their passing attack. Frank Ross' punting was sensational throughout the game. His long booming punts constantly set the Frosh back on their heels. One of his punts traveled for seventy yards in the air, and at a time when it was needed most. VVith six minutes to play in the final period G. NI. C. gained possession of the ball on their forty and with the aid of some hne ball carrying by Chornyak, and a ls21
