G. M. J. C. Abi Hinc Ccipillis Old rnan depression had the fair town of Poultney in his grasp and he was squeezing harder and harder. The merchants were gasping loudly and wheezingly with every new bit of pressure. Especially the barbers, ahl yesl the barber's jirniny Blanche was all for taking his car back to the finance company, and Smitty was taking any and all kinds of offers for his two chairs, while Teddy Pafundi was just waiting for the Poultney River to warm up. Wihen suddenly the streets, the sidewalks, and the lawns were filled with marching students, students possessed of nice, hne, long tresses which they had, acting under orders from the Bush Committee, a Nloses Hall Organization, volun- teered to give and give willingly CFD in Poultney's brave and long fight against O. NI. D., the arch enemy. As they bore down upon the barber's Smitty's, Teddy's and then Jimmy's, the din became terrihc and cries of utake it all off, give me a Heinie, etc. filled the air. Enough hair, curly, thin, heavy, thick, red, black, brown, and blonde, was snipped from student heads to put the horse sofa business back on its feet for the rest of the year. Thus it went for three days, IO boys, 15, 20, 25, 26, 27, 35, 40, 52, 53, 54, SQ and finally all that was left was Dick 'fSamson Eichhorn vowing that depression or no depression those long, black, locks stayed on in spite of- and high water. A small passage of timel E That night Dick and the rest of the boys looked very collegiate and comfortable with their new top wear. A few days later that progressive student publication, the Green Jlffounmivz Times carried on its editorial page an article mob rule, strong arms, mind of your own, etc, youave seen the type.
