The hall was decorated in the Hawaiian theme, Hawai- ian Sunsetf' Walking into the hall one was given the effect of getting off a boat on a Hawaiian shore and given a bid with an authentic baby orchid from Hawaii. The walls were covered with crepe paper with a water design. Covering the front of the stage was the main attraction, the Hawaiian Sunset. This was done with colors from a pale yellow down to deep purple. Flood lights put the finishing touch on it. Around the dance floor were found a number of palm trees. The main event, the crown- ing of Queen Ardell Ludjalc, took place at 10 p.m. After the 1955 Queen, Marney Bier- man, had crowned Queen Ardell, a colonial bouquet, similar to those of the court, was presented to the 1955 Queen. To show appreciation for the wonderful help 'ind 'advice ucen Ardell prcsented Mrs Ferron with a bouquet of roses from the class Queen Ardell and King Gordon led the Grand March followed by the 1955 King and ueen and four teen couples of the court.
