Gymnasts finish fourth in Northern League This year's gymnastics team finished the season in fourth place in conference action. Having an inexperienced team, the Cats started slowly, but fought their way to a great season finish. With the 92 - 91 win over West High, the gymnasts cinched the points needed to keep the ln- tracity Trophy in the Central display case another year. All around men for the Wildcats this year were Mike Rollins and Marty Weber. The Outstanding Gymnast Award this year went to Mike Ftollins. The team consisted of four seniors, nine juniors and four sophomores. The gymnasts were led by coach Dick Lemke and assistant coach Eric Fulcomer. Upper right: Sophomore Mike Rollins executes an iron cross on the still rings during Central's Trophy Meet with West. Rollins was also the top all around man for the gymnastics team. Upper right: Senior Dale Knupple leaps high in an effort to win the long jump for the Wildcats. Knupple also was a strong competitor in the tri- ple jump. Upper left: Mark Larson, Central's top distance man crosses the finish line to take a first place in the dual meet with West. Central won the meet with a score of 71 to 65. Lower left: Greg Cogswell, Central's top high jumper clears the bar at 6'33A to establish a new school record in the high jump. Lower right: Mark Roggy clears the bar at 13' -6 during the meet with West. Ftoggy was one of the top pole vaulters in the league this year. 117
