REGIONAL VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL SCHOOL Building Our Future Introduction The Greater Lowell Regional Vocational School is located on Pawtucket Boulevard in Tyngsboro. The “Voke is dedicated to teaching skills that will benefit the student as well as society. Throughout our four years at the Voke we have had some difficult moments. In our freshman year we had to choose the trade we felt we would excel in. In our sophomore year we began to learn the basics of our selected trades. In our junior year the work became more difficult and the excuses to avoid it increased. Finally, in our senior year we decided to settle down and soak up as much education as possible, as this was our last chance before the “BIG DAY”. This was also the time that many of us decided to get involved in the various clubs and organizations offered, here, at the Voke. Getting involved not only meant giving up class time (and quite willingly at that!), but giving up spare time and weekends as well. Through good times and bad, the friendships we have gained as a result of club memberships has been well worth it. Here, at Greater Lowell, we have the best equipment, instructors and opportunities available. Many of us will go directly to work as tradesmen and women and others have chosen to further their education in college. We, the class of 1980, would like to set the highest standards for the underclassmen and women to follow. We are the first to graduate in the new decade and the first should always be the best. We are the future craftsmen, designers and professionals. We will feed, clothe and shelter the people of tomorrow. We are responsible for remaking, rebuilding and shaping o ur world into a place we can call our own. our own. With many fond memories and diploma in hand, we say “GOOD-BYE to the Voke and face the future with an edge on life and four years of memories. By Nano Leblanc Karen Musgrave 2
