CI1 Latrobe school officials are constantly on the job throughout the year to keep all educa- tional departments up to date. Head man in the educational system is Dr. Iohn G. Hulton, Superintendent of Latrobe Pub- lic Schools. Mr. Hulton checks the activities of five grade schools and the high school. Newcomer to the school administration this year is Mr. David Snyder, who succeeded Mr. M. N. Funk as principal. Mr. Snyder assumed his post in Latrobe April l after serving as prin- cipal at Midland High School for five and one half years. The new principal graduated from Geneva College and the University of Pittsburgh. He is interested in athletics, and was a former assistant football coach. Seven local citizens serve as members of the Latrobe Board of Education. Mr. Harry M. Reed is president of the organization. Other members include Mr. H. Donald Benford, Mr. Curtis L. Feather, Dr. Iack Hamill, Mr. Francis I. Harvey, Miss Sara C. McComb, and Mr. Sam- uel B. Hummel. Assisting the administration are four secre- taries. Miss Ruth Himler and Miss Anabelle Walters work in Dr. Hulton's office. Miss Mar- ilyn McGuire and Miss Barbara Smith take care of the high school secretarial duties. SUPEBINTENDENT I. G.
