COURSE DESCRIPTION The student is taught the basic AC St DC theoryg to layout, assemble, install, test, maintain, and repair electrical lixtures, and control equipment and wiring used in light and power systems. Repair of electrical motors, generators and other electrical equipment is also a part ofthe instruction program. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Jobs for qualitied tradesmen are available with electrical contractors, large factories, ship- building and air craft manufacturers. COURSE DESCRIPTION The student is taught the fundamentals of fusing metals by the use of heat produced from buming gas or an electric arc. Instruction includes the proper use, maintenance, and repair of acetylene torches and electric arc welding equipment. Both manual and automatically operated cutting torches are used for straight line cutting to templet design. Layout and project construction with various types of metals will be an important aspect of instruction. Welding processes include: manual electric arc with stick electrode, MIG- metalic inert gas arc welding with semi-automatic machines using solid wire and cored flux wire, TIG-tungsten inert gas' arc welding. and acetylene gas welding and brazing. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Opening for welders are available in all metal fabrication industries, maintenance work, testing and repair types of welding. Industries that would employ welders are: steel mills. mines, machine shops, aluminum fabricators, foundries, btilding and bridge contractors, pipeline construction and aircraft industries-including the space vehicle programs.

COURSE DESCRIPTION Instruction provides the student with a comprehensive intro- duction to the medical, para-medical. and health care delivery services through analysis of career accrediting organizations and their requirements. Laboratory periods consist of specialized science courses and their application to the health care iicld. To supplement and balance the students educational experience the curriculum includes a study of Fine Arts, held trips to health maintenance and educational organizations. plus guest lecturers from specilic areas of medical expertise, and a senior research presentation. The student will also leam medical terminology, laboratory procedures, human pathogenic agents, measurements, and treatment theory. RELATED CAREER AREAS Students will be prepared for entry into training programs at both the technician and professional levels.
