COURSE DESCRIPTION The Heavy Mining Machinery mechanics course will provide instruction in maintenance, rebuilding, and operation of underground and open pit mining equipment. Emphasis will be placed upon oxyacetylene and electric arc welding, A.C. 8: D.C. electricity, hydraulics, gasoline and diesel engines, gear boxes, troubleshooting. and safety.
