COURSE DESCRIPTION This course includes complete building construction from the time a building is staked out through form work, framing and finish carpentry. Instruction in stud layout. roof framing, comice work, shingling, siding, dry wall, door and window trim. kitchen cabinets and stair building. Theory will cover basic blueprint reading and sketching. The necessary mathematics for the carpenter or mill man to estimate the quantity and cost of materials is included in the course. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Outlook is excellent for skilled carpenters in the construction industry for at least a decade. Gleto. s COURSE DESCRIPTION The Automobile Body Repair course is designed to give the student a thorough knowledge in the repair of damaged automobiles and frames. It includes the study of welding, brazing. soldering, straightening and shrinking of metal. Panel installation, trim and glass work, methods of refinishing. color matching, spraying, electrical systems, and estimating are im- portant parts ofthe course. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Many graduates go with automobile dealers, automobile repair shops, garages having repair services, some work assembly plants, trucking or bus companies, and some operate private repair shops. A capable and ex- perienced auto body man can advance to such jobs as estimator, chief mechanic or shop foreman.

COURSE DESCRIPTION Training will include elements and principles of commercial art, as well as applications in illustration and screen process printing. The work consists of drawing and painting in all media: pencil, pen and ink, tempera, oils, etc. Airbrush ruidering and photo retouching are also included. A broad training is given in basic design, composition and perspective and methods of professional practice as applicable to advertising art. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Employment and advancement opportunities for talented and well-trained commercial artists in most kinds of work are expected to be good throughout the l970's. The demand for commercial artists will continue to vary with the kind ol' specialization. Television graphics and packaging design are expected to continue to be sources of expanding employ- ment opportunities. ln addition, the growing field of industrial design is expected to need more artists who are qualified to perform three dimensional work with engineering concepts.
