COURSE DESCRIPTION The Automotive Mechanics course provides the student with practical instruction in the diagnosis, repair, and adjustments ol' all phases of automotive mechanics. The instruction covers the complete range of work on gasoline engines, clutches, transmissions, differentials, front axle and wheel supension. front-end alignnent, steering mechanisms, brakes. carburetion, fuel and electrical systems. Special emphasis is given to trouble shooting, motor tune-up, and complete overhaul of engines by re- placing rings, bearings, valves, gaskets, and other wom parts, After attaining sufhcient skill, the student will be given the opportunity to repair automobiles. Since the automobile is a very complicated piece of machinery, much theoretical knowledge is involved, and he will have to read complicated parts manuals. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Successful participants in the auto mechanics course can look forward to joining the more than M million now employed in this industry. COURSE DESCRIPTION In this program the student learns how to use and care for the tools and machines required for this phase of the building trades. With the tools and materials he leams to lay brick, and construct the various forms and shapes ol' the trade. These include arches, columns, piers, chimneys, fireplaces, floors, etc. He is instructed in various masonry materials such as, brick, cement block, stone, and glass blocks. To complete his instruc- tion, he is taught construction theory and blueprint reading. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Graduates can specialize in various aspects studied in the program or do general masonry work utilizing a combination of the skills.
