COURSE DESCRIPTION This course is designed to train students who keep machines, mechanical equipment and physical structures of an establishment in good repair and working order thus performing a variety of maintenance duties. lt is geared to moderately train in the skilled trades rather than specialize in one trade or one type of maintenance work. Training in the reading of blue printing. carpentry, plumbing, electricity, cleaning. glazing. painting, tile replacement, lawn and shrub care. and record keeping will be accomplished. Students interested in becoming a supervisor of building maintenance will gain valuable training in his area. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES This is a rapidly expanding business. with opportunities as helper to any of the skilled trades in high-rise apartment maintenance, public buildings, factories, warehouses. window cleaning, corporations. commercial cleaning and home maintenance and repair. ll4 Shopsh Labs
