During the course of study students are exposed to a wide variety of subject matter. The basic principles of forest management are studied including tree planting, protection, measurement, and harvesting. Students leam the methods of conserving soil, water. air and wildlife as well as the management of recreational parks. For students interested in mechanics, instruction is provided in the sale and service of agricultural equipment. The production and selling of fruits and vegetables. dairy products, and meat products is an integral part of the program. Instruction in fertilizers, seeds, plant identification, pesticides, and herbicides is provided. Acquiring positions directly after graduation is possible: however, those students wishing to continue their education in an agricultural tield will tind the course beneficial. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES As long as consumers desire food and clothing there will be job openings in agriculture. Agriculture is becoming more mechanized and diversified each year.
