IN MEMORIAM The obituary read: Miss Elizabeth S. Kunkle of 734 Parkview Drive died July 25, 1973 at Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Franklin Street United Methodist Church and its women’s society, the Arbutus Park Manor Auxiliary, the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, and a board member of Highlands Heart Association. Miss Kunkle was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She was a teacher for 42V2 years, 16 of those years spent at JHS. Words. Cold, factual words. Words cannot express emotion, the sorrow felt as we acknowledge the death of one of the finest teachers at JHS. The class of 1974, the faculty and administration, and alumni of JHS echo that sorrow. [17]
