One half of one percent of graduating seniors in the U.S. are chosen to be National Merit Scholarship Finalists. They are cho- sen on the basis of their PSAT test scores and semi-finalist application. Creativity Abounds : ' The 1976 Governor ' s School sent two students from Great Valley: Mark Abram for Theater, and Diane Mattson for Art. The Governor ' s School is a five week course held at Bucknell University each summer. The course is an extensive study into the Arts, including Theater, Mu- sic, Dance, Photography, and Creative Writing. Ad- mission to the Governor ' s School is achieved through a series of auditions and interviews . There are over 2000 applicants but only 250 are chosen. We congratu- late Mark and Diane, NABILAA.
