GILBERT BLUM. Principal EACH YEAR I TRY TO EXPRESS THE FEELINGS OF THE FACULTY TO THE GRADUATING CLASS. IT IS DIFFICULT BEING UNIQUE, SINCE OUR WISHES REMAIN THE SAME. OUR HOPES FOR A BETTER WORLD REST IN YOUR HANDS. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT. OUR WORLD IS THE BEST THAT HUMANKIND HAS KNOWN. YET, THERE REMAIN GROSS INJUSTICES, DEPRIVATION, PREJUDICE, STARVATION AND VIOLATIONS OF HUMAN AND CIVIL RIGHTS. YOU HAVE THE TOOLS TO HELP. WE HOPE THAT YOU HAVE THE DESIRE AS WELL. REACH OUT TO THOSE IN NEED AND TO THOSE LESS FORTUNATE. THE JOY OF GIVING AND HELPING CANNOT BE SURPASSED. WE HOPE THAT YOU FEEL THE WARMTH OF YOUR ACTIONS. OUR EFFORTS HAVE BEEN DEVOTED TO HELPING YOU DEAL WITH THE FUTURE. IF WE HAVE FAILED IT IS NOT THROUGH LACK OF TRYING. FINALLY, THE ENTIRE FACULTY WISHES FOR EACH OF YOU HAPPY AND USEFUL LIVES. 20
