Time flies when you’re having fun! Time certainly has flown. It is hard to believe that it has been four years since you, the seniors, entered South Senior as our first ninth grade class. Those initial days of transition were difficult ones for both you and this faculty. Time and common sense helped us overcome the difficulties and permitted us to enjoy each other’s presence. You were pioneers, not through your own choosing, but nevertheless you helped us to redefine our school to what it is today ... a place in which we can all take pride. There is hardly an adult who cannot say that he she could have done better in high school. I am sure, you, the seniors, are no exception. It is our hope, however, that the time that we spent together has helped you to grow and understand your role in this world of ours. No one in this big picture is insignificant. Each of you is a unique individual. There was never anyone quite like you before, nor will there be anyone like you in the future. We also hope that what you have learned will prepare you for an ever-changing world, one in which there is great need for tolerance, understanding, appreciation, knowledge and common sense. If we have failed to help you in this regard, I assure you that it was not through lack of trying. In days and years to come as you think of South Senior, I hope that you do have the image of a place where people truly cared. In behalf of the faculty I wish that you fulfill your dreams and that you live happy and useful lives. 20 Principal
