You were the class that some felt were cheated because you entered South Senior with another grade which deprived you of being unique. Right at the outset, however, many of you began to make significant contributions to our school. In the analysis of our faculty you are a good class. We arrive at that designation by some mysterious technique. It really means that the faculty likes you!! Now you are about to embark on another stage of your life. You will begin to emerge as individuals who will be responsible for your actions and will deal with obligations that are different from those that you had as high school students. No one will be just like you; no one will have exactly the same experiences; no one will have exactly the same feelings; no one will have exactly the same thoughts; no one will have exactly the same dreams and hopes and expectations. In short, no one will be you. We, the faculty of South Senior High, hope that we have helped prepare you to face life as a responsible individual. We hope that you can face adversity with resilience, and success with humility. While you may leave our home physically, you do not leave our minds and our hearts. We hope you return to us often.
