TRUSTEES The College has twenty trustees. They are all leaders in their churches. Eight of them are preachers. Of the twelve who are not preachers, all are elders or former elders. They come from every area of Michigan, central and northwest Ohio, and northern Indiana. Some of them own and operate their own businesses, others are at the middle management level, or above, in their respective firms, one is a physician. Of every five dollars the College receives this year, one dollar will come from the trustees. They also give generously of their time to help manage the school's affairs and to promote her programs. Very much of the College's past achievement and present success is attributable to the careful guidance and prayerful concern of tnese men. The trustees are: Wilmer Ballou, Myron Bradburn, Harrison Crader, Ed Erskin, Tom Fox, Dr. Raymond Fuller, Ernest Greenwood, lVlel Harrell, Kermit Hatfield, Bob Hudson, Leonard Johnson, Bryan Maxey, Bob Palmer, Jerry Paul, Phillip Schlaegel, Don Sherman, lVlike Steere, Richard Walkden, Don Welch, Rudy Woll.

D E D I A T I J TO N ETHEL a. oscAR This issue of the Northern Light is dedicated to lVlr. and lVlrs. Oscar Challen. Oscar and Ethel came to the College in the fall of 1972, just before the present Girls' Dormitory was completed. After Bunking for seven weeks in the old Dodge mansion, they moved to the new facility and began the task of being campus parents. For five years they were responsible for all on-campus students, both women and men. The past two years they have had the care of women only. The College could hardly have chosen a couple better suited for this position. Ethel has fulfilled her role of Dorm lVlom in a most admirable way. She has maintained discipline with manifest affection, worked long hours and rendered services that, very often, went beyond the line of duty. The welfare of her girls was always at the top of her list of priorities. Oscar has endeared nimself to students and staff alike. His sense of humor, avid support of all athletic teams, and skill at repairing made him a much-needed man about campus. GLBC owes to the Challens a debt of unqualified gratitude for their seven years of devoted service. The class of 1979 is pleased to dedicate their yearbook to this exceptional Christian couple.
