Michigan Christian Convention Students from GLBC participate annually in the Michigan Christian Convention, attending sessions and providing entertainment. The picture at left shows the college display which is used at the convention, for promotion and the recruiting new students. Bible Clubs This year we had Bible Clubs active in two area high schools, Grand Ledge and Everett. There were two groups at Everett and one at Grand Ledge. The Bible Clubs have been instrumental in the salvation of several people in the last three years. 1' ,im ,dv- Personal Evangelism lnner Circle This past year we had 15 to 18 people participate in the Personal Evangelism, Christian Service Program We traveled and did special calling for the area churches, Oakland Drive, South Redford and Grand Ledge. Plus this year we had special calling programs for the Daniel's Dens and the Inner Circles. The major highlight of this year was the annual Track or Treating on Halloween. We dressed in costumes and passed out tracks, door to door in the Lansing community. i Four Inner Circle groups were organized at the beginning of this year, involving a total of sixteen students. Two of these groups remained active throughout the year. Each group is made up of four GLBC students who go out into the neighborhoods surrounding the college and spend time with the junior high kids in that area. A typical meeting consists of singing, games, and Bible lessons. One of the groups taught a series of lessons on the life of Christ and memorization of the books of the N.T. was also stressed. Extra activities consisted of roller skating parties, football, volleyball, and water balloon fights. Good relations were established with several families in the area as the students entered the homes. Neighborhood kids were also more closely nit together as they participated with one another in the meetings.

We began with just six groups and ended the year with ten groups plus the puppet team. The reason, I believe, for this expansion is because someone has told others about the benefits of working with these young children. I am disappointed, however, in the fact that we could only grow according to our supply of students. Next year I hope to see at least thirteen groups meeting with the young children of Lansing, spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. At the end of this school year, we had forty MOD students participating in our program. I hope to see next year more organization on my part, to supply students with information and materials in order to more effectively serve God. I look forward to it all again. New Church Evangelism The New Church Evangelism group assisted the Grand Ledge congregation throughout this year. Recreation Leadership Our service group has just begun this year. We have been working with Delta Mills Elementary School this year in an intramurals program for their students. We have plans to expand our program next year to include several more schools in the area. We have titled our group C.A.A. - Christian Athletic Activities. We also are planning to work next year with the YWCA on a program. Rest Homes The Rest Home groups, one afternoon every week go to two different area rest homes. We pray, sing, have scripture reading and mostly just let the people know that we love them. However, the more love we share with them, the more they seem to give back to us. We have around 8 to 10 college students go to each rest home every week. It would really be a toss-up, though as to who gets more of a blessing, the older people or us. Teachers A number of GLBC students taught Sunday school classes and Junior church in the Lansing area churches Music The Music Christian Service group has been very active in the 76 - 77 year. We have had seven active groups which have sung quite regularly on weekends along with those individuals who have done solos, duets, song leading, and accompanying. The seven groups that have been a vital line between the college and supporting congregations are the MadrigaIs, Peace of Mind, The Light, Inner Peace, Brothers of the Son, Followers of the Way, and the Chapel Choir. The Disciples and the Concert Choir also have contributed much to the music program of GLBC. Prison Evangelism This is the first year of the Prison Evangelsim, Christian Service program at GLBC. With the help of our Lord and Savior, we held six services at Ionia Prison and one at Jackson. M.S.U. Campus Ministry Students from GLBC this past year participated in the Campus Ministry meetings at His House East near the MSU campus. The meetings led by Gary Hawes involve fellowship, singing, and the study of God's Word. Missions The Missions, Christian Service program helped involved with the Missions Club in buying Bibles for the Daniel's Den groups.
