No period in a lifetime will highlight as many pleasant memories as those years covered by this book — the four short years of work and play which are privileges of all those for- tunate enough to attend an American high school. The problems you have met as underclassmen, Juniors and Seniors offer a training program which has developed capable leaders and cooperative workers who rise to every emergency. Graduating Seniors will soon be in all parts of the world assum- ing responsibilities for which we hope your training here has partly prepared you. Noble Confronted by unusually difficult school problems, the eight members of our board have proved themselves able and alert leaders by affecting a suc- cessful bond election in April, which will provide the funds necessary to rebuild schools, maintain repairs and keep teachers ' salaries adequate. It is through the efforts of these trustees that we have such excellent administrators, teachers and other school employees.
