Blasts of trumpets, the mellow sounds of the woodwinds,and the elang of the symbols--all blended to form the Great Falls Band. Through the efforts of the United Fund Campaign the band received new uniforms. All of us, as students, are proud of the band, who for the first time this year became a marching unit. We hope that it will be just as successful in the coming years as it has been in the past year. This has achieved for many a long awaited goal here at Great Falls lligh. picture of the girls' Girls have a hard day of practice. BIG RED N! of accomplish- ment is perhaps the greatest re- ward of participation in ath- letics. This may be in the form of new friends, values, vitality, new strength. . .as the basketball team shows as they practice on the right. The girls have fun develop ing skill and coordination, and sometimes they know victory. Tracy Childers sums it all up as he receives the trophy for the most valuable player from Mr, C. J. Gibson of the Boosters' Club. . . some win the score, but at Great Falls High all win in participating in sports. No apologies, ex- cuses, or alibis are needed--we love our teams. i S? I I 4? ,
