COACH IOHN SCHULZ Mr. Schulz was born in Gladium, Michigan. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1937. There he received a football letter and a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education. After grad- uation Mr. Schulz was athletic director at the Heisey until 1942, when he went to Big Sandy High School and then to Glaclium High School, each for one year as coach. He returned to Great Falls and served as athletic director at the Iunior High. Mr. Schulz then Went to Saint Mary's, and now at Central, besides being coach and athletic director, he teaches history. ASSISTANT COACH EMIL TABARACCI Mr. Tabaracci was born in Great Falls and attended high school here. At Montana University Tabby studied business ac- counting and went out for football. He earned his letter in 1937, '38, and '39. In '39 he was captain of the football team and grad- uated in that year. Mr. Tabaracci joined the Air Force for five years, three of which he was in England. He worked at the County Treasurefs Office for several years and is now em- ployed at the ACM Company in Great Falls. He at- tended grade school at Wapto, Washington, and came to Mon- tana in 1940, where he entered high school at Great Falls. In 1941 he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Father was or- dained in May, 1948, by the Most Reverend William I. Condon at Saint Ann's Cathedral. At Central Father Arbanas teaches Latin and Religion and is Vice Principal. CThis job keeps Father busy chasing after kids all day long.l Father Arbanas is also assistant at Saint Ann's. ASSISTANT COACH FATHER HERETICK Father Heretick was born in North Braddock, Pennsylvania. He received a B. A. degree in philosophy at Mount St. Mary's and completed his theology at Mount Angel Seminary in Ore- gon. Father Was ordained lune 12, 1947, at Baltimore, Maryland. After having taught vacation school in the Great Falls Diocese, during the summer for three years, Father Heretick-took up ac- tual residence at Glendive in Iuly, 1947. Father came to Great Falls in 1948. Besides serving as assistant to the coach, Father is district C. Y. C. moderator and assistant pastor at St. Ann's.

TOTAL .......... ..........,,....,..,..,..,... l 48 44 The Mustangs were one of the best Class B ground gaining teams in the state and were presented with two first-place tro- phies, one from the Conference and one from the State by Pro- fessor Walter Scott, of the Butte School of Mines. I-Ie also gave silver footballs to the football squad. The Mustangs started the season by beating the Cowboys 25-6, next Week they traveled to Cut Bank Where they downed the Wolves 20-6 in a hard-fought game. Overconfident, the Mustangs were upset 7-0 by the Sugar Beeters. Going back into first place tie With Fairfield and Fort Benton, Central took the undefeated Eagles by the count of l3-6. The Mustangs made short horns out of the Fort Benton Longhorns, at Benton, with a 26-6 Win. This Win placed the Mustangs in first place. Central stayed there by swamping the Bulldogs 32-O. They cinched the Northern Conference Championship by taking the Coyotes 32-13 in the final game of the season.
