Bodenhorn who, by his quiet, unostentatious and self-effacing devotion to lowly tasks, has provided both faculty and students with an outstanding and consistent de- monstration of the servant principle, this book is lovingly dedicated. There are strange ways of serving God, You sweep a room or turn a sod, And suddenly, to your surprise, You hear the whir of angels' wings And find that you are under God's own eyes And building palaces for HIM. Daily lanky thru hlhy 1,,.-1-- :Rain 727 oandcreeugsn diana Dear Graduates: lhen the court asked Whitaker Chambers what a Communist ls, he referred to the three men who, as s Communist, were his three heroes. The first was an ascetic Polish Communist who, while he was in prison for the sake of hls faith, insisted on having the task of cleaning the latrines. This, he felt, was the duty of the more advanced, to do the most menlal tasks, and in this way set an example for those who were followers. The second was a Gennan Jew, a revolutionary who was arrested, court martlaled and sentenced to death. In court, after sentence was pronounced, he looked them in the eye, and said tersely, 'We Communists are always under sentence of death The third was a Russian associated with the assassination of the Prime Minister. He was sentenced to a Siberian prison. As a protest against the flogging of his fellow prisoners, he soaked his clothes in paraffin, lighted a match, and burned himself to death. As professed followers of the Man of Calvary, dare we bring to our task 3 lesser measure of devotion! In these days of indulgence and love of ease, as you go forth from the halls of G.C.8., I challenge you to join me ln the fol- lowing prayer of Christina Rossettiz God harden me against myself, The coward with pathetic voice lho craves for ease, and rest, and joys. Myself, arch-traitor to myselfg ly hollowest friend, my deadliest foe, ly clog whatever road I go. Yet One there ls can curb myself, Can roll the strangling load from me, Break off the yoke and set me free. With a 1002, Christian Studio Staff, fully dedicated to the principle that a radio station should be operated in the interest of the public rather than cold commercialism WC BC is setting a high standard of Public Service. With programming and advertising policies governed by the highest moral considerations, WCBC is rapidly gain- ing in public favor and acceptance. Clients of WCBC are voluntarily offering testimonials of increasingly amazing results through WCBC advertising. WCBC is furnishing new evidence that a radio station can be programmed in the BEST interest of the public and still be a commercial success. Through GREAT COMMISSION SCHOOLS' connection with the radio station and particularly through its FM affiliate, the School offers an ideal opportunity to its students for actual on-the-job, on-the-air training in control room tech- niques, radio announcing, continuity and script writing, production and programming. 5 Miss Sharlene Reed, for nine years a member of the Staff of The Ander- son Gospel Tabernacle a.nd'Great Commission Schools, is the efficient Bookkeeper and Secretary to the General Manager.
