Mr. Gunn's job as the high school principal includes running the school. supervising the cafeteria, and many more time taking tasks. M. S. Kansas State College. first commerce instructor and Student Council advisor that he doesn't have much time for a hobby. but at home he has a standing occupation of baby sitting. M. S. KSTC. Has anyone seen a lady ilitting through the halls with a thermometer in one hand and a watch in the other? If he has, he caught MISS FLORENCE MIESTER in one of her trips to the schools as head nurse. Miss Miester likes to read in her spare time. R. N. St. Rose Hospital. Need any money today? is the cry of L. Colegrove, secretaryg H. P. Thies, chairman: D. V. Swartz. Superintendent of Schools: Mrs. Hugh Jencksg Harry Lytlep and Louis Zutavern. Edward Opie, treasurer, is not pictured. Swartz in his first year as superintendent of public schools has encountered many problems such as the making of the budget and expenditures and the hiring of teachers and other employees. 'sv The teachers of Great Bend High School are always ready to lend a help- ing hand to any student who needs help They are active not only in their class- rooms but they also supervise organi- zations and club projects. The School Board has often been kept at board meetings until very late at night working on school business. They formulate the plans and policies of the public schools. The custodians are at work at seven o'clock each day and a night custodian stays until midnight. The cafeteria workers serve three hundred students and teachers in the cafeteria every day.
