SENIOI2 ClASS Of 1935 One of the largest and greatest productions ever made by the Great Bend High School Com- pany was the production of the Class of l935. Work on this production began in l93l. Directors for the first year were Eugene Starke, president: Glen Cushing, vice-president: Dorothy Archer, secretary, and Virginia Tournear, treasurer. Promoters were Miss Lowry and Miss Mellor. We entered into the second year under the directorship of Glen Cushing, president: Mary Ella Howell, vice-president, and Ruth Tullis, secretary-treasurer. Our promoters for the second year were Miss Hester and Miss Lowry. Miss Hester filled the vacancy caused by Miss Mellor's resignation from School. The third year found us under the direction of Dorothy Archer, president: Eugene Starke, vice-president: June Moore, secretary, and Vera Otte, treasurer. Our promoters were Miss Hester and Mr. Strube, who tilled the vacancy caused by the resignation of Miss Lowry. The two main incidents of the third year, which did a great deal to assure the success of the production of 1935, were the Junior-Senior Banquet and the Junior Play. The Banquet was a success in every way and the Play proved to be a helpful stepping-stone to our success. Our fourth and last year was decidedly the greatest year of all. There were many important happenings. Our directors for the last year were Glen Schuetz, president: Glen Cushing, vice- president: Ernest Eppstein, secretary, and William Keller, treasurer. Our promoters were Miss Dilsaver, who succeeded Miss Hester, as she had resigned, and Mr. Strube. High lights during this year were the Senior Play, which was certainly a credit to our class. and our successful promotion, cooperating with the Junior Class, of the Lyceum Course, the three professional plays. Another high light of 1935 was the production of our year book the A'Rhorea, under the direction of Nina Sceals. It was an exceptionally good piece of work and we realized very good sales results. The final bit of work on our famous production was the close-up of our accomplishments made in Great Bend High School. These, our diplomas, were presented to us at our graduation exercises. The members of the class successfully proved our motto There are no quitters in the hall of fame. Our colors are blue and silver. We are proud of the talent which our class contains. We have outstanding students in dramatics, music, and scholarship. The production of 1935 had a four-year run and ended the -fourth year by being the greatest production in the history of Great Bend High School. -MARIAN NIADDY. 1f ' .' 11,gg,-,
