preface During the past four years as students at Grayville Community High School, there are certain evaluations, assessments, joys and sorrows, and activities-both academic and co-curricular-in which the members of the Senior Class of 1970 have been active participants. These years were formulative ones, and years which have been both exciting and challenging for us. In the years of our development here at G.C.H.S., we graduating Seniors have learned that what has unlocked the past WILL unlock the future. The cooperative team efforts and the boundless, illimitable supply of energy served us in understanding our roles and purposes of working toward common co-curricular goals, namely the exercises and profits from the unforgettable bake sales, the long workdays, the never-ending line of cars in the car washes, the sweat shirt sales, the magazine sales, and a wide assortment of adventuresome projects. We learned that although, at the time, the writing of term papers and the taking of difficult exams were not in themselves fun. we are forever thankful and grateful that our teachers exerted their influences upon us in preparing us for our future roles as adults in an ever-changing, dynamic society. Our collective hope is that the 1970 graduating Seniors will reflect the spirit and the soul of our ALMA MATER, G.C.H.S. Staff Editors: Jane Bcgcrt Sue Siegert Jerry Thomas Nancy Wilson 6
