Senior Class Play By Felicia Metcalfe Grandad Goes Wild” Twelve people are forced to spend the night in a house which usually accommodates only two. Mrs. Morton and her father have invited some teen-age relatives to spend a few weeks with them. Among their guests is a niece Betty, who thinks the boy next door is pretty special. A freak storm adds Miss Drusilla, an hilarious old maid who always has a cold in the head, to the family circle. A telegram advises her of the visit of the socially prominent State President of her Ladies' Club, Mrs. Victoria Harrington traveling with her daughter, Della. While Mrs. Morton is busy keeping the teen-agers out of Mrs. Harrington’s way, and Della is busy trying to capture Betty's boy friend. Grandad is getting into mischief. Fisher Directed by Mr. Billie Duncan The Fakers” Ruth Aldrich's mother will join anything, and what she can’t join she’ll organize--this includes Ruth's boyfriend, Ben Allen. Since Mrs. Aldrich has become a strenuously practicing spiritualist it seems only reasonable to her that her daughter marry a man of many seances. Ben is willing to go along with the gag if it means that he and Ruth can be together. By the time Ben and his buddy, Ed Weston, reach the Aldrich house, they ARE spiritualists--in spirit, only, of course. Ruth and her sister, Roberta, tell them it is the only way to please their Mother and avoid staying at the nearest motel. Ben becomes the mysterious Ben Allah, and Ed tags along as his assistant, Ed Notsew (Weston spelled backward). The Maid of Honor was Grace Schmittler, also a Senior. The stage was beautifully decorated in the theme Wonderland By Night. White snowflakes hung from the ceiling, against a blue background with a white Christmas tree and a lamp post giving the effect of a snowy night outdoors. The Queen’s throne was a white bench and in the background was a huge silver snowflake. The score of the game was 83-58, the Grayville Bison over the Norris City Cardinals. 37 Choir 1.
