CLASS HISTORY CCont1nuedJ The scenes of the next reel were taken ln the fall of 1946 The pxcture of our entlre Sophomore class had forty members The next scenes show the electlon of our class offxcers They were President Faye Juan Vlce Presldent Dempsey Koehler Secretary and Treasurer John Knlght and Class Sponsors Mr Relhng and Mlss Clark Under thelr leadershlp we advanced steadxly through our Sophomore year We went to Mt Carmel agam fwe couldn t get farther from homey Tragedy struck one of our class-J1mm1e H3WklHS who met hxs death January 14 1947 ln an accx dent Ten of our members were elected by the J umors to be walters and waltresses at the J unlor Senlor Banquet Scenes showxng how they enter tamed at the Banquet are colorful and brlng a few smlles These were the mam events plctured on our Sophomore reel It IS a short reel we weren t too actlve that year The fourth reel of our movle deals w1th the J unlor year of Hlgh School when we had twenty flve members We see the electlon of our class offlcers flrst As the returns come 1n everyone can see It w1ll be Leo Glover for Presldent Faye Juan for Vlce Presldent wlth Yuvetta Bullard as our Secretary Treasurer and Mlss Vermta Crawford and Mlss Belle Embrey as our class sponsors Scenes from our J umor play Now You re Talklng a very successful productlon that broke all records of the former classes brmg back fond memor1es especlally to the play cast The banquet and prom we gave the Senlors was conceded to have been the most beautlful and entertalmng one that has ever been wltnessed All durmg thls year we missed Patsy Bump our fun lovlng classmate who met her death the sum mer between our Sophomore and J umor years The flfth and last reel shows our class Wlth twenty f1Ve members fwe lost two and galned twol The scenes are qulte recent there s the part about our Senlor class play Where s Laurle? Thls play also broke all records of former classes The electlon returns for class offxcers are agam thrown on the screen and It results ln Faye Juan as Presldent Barbara Young as V1ce Presldent Carol Wlckham as Secretary and D3Vld Farmer as Treasurer We elected Mlss E Wave Jamerson as our Class Sponsor There are some scenes of the banquet and prom whlch the J unlors out d1d themselves preparmg ln our honor The last scenes show our class day class nlght baccalaureate and f1 nally graduatlon The llghts come on agaln and the Seniors glance from one to another wonderlngly No doubt many of them are thlnklng of thelr saylng Boy will I be glad to get out of thls place But behmd thelr eyes are longing and a llttle regret The happy care free hlgh school days are over What k1nd of movle could be shown of our Senlors IIVBS say ten or flfty years from now?
