Vikes Ta ke NTC Opener The Vikings opened their NTC lead by one when the Hill Rebels surrendered to the Vikings '70-56. In the first half Grayson's pattern offense was unorganized, causing it to break slow on shots and rebounds. Hill 'advanced through the Vikings' offense and was ahead by one point at the end of the first half. Through the opening minutes of the second half the Vikings poured on a strong rush, pushing the score up over Hill and hitting 46010 of their shots from the field . Pittsburg, Okla. forward Brent Sweetin led Viking scorers with 17 points while Ira Hill, a forward from Minden, La. , hit for 16 and freshman forward Vernon Kureger hit for 10 shots during the first 10 minutes.
