Biologists Meer 1 a+ Conference Approximately 50 persons who represented 16 undergraduate colleges in Texas and Oklahoma attended an interregional meeting here, Oct. 1'7- 18 of Texas Undergraduate Education in Biological Sciences. Visitors were treated to a fish fry Oct. 17 at Preston Bend Recreation Area. T.U.E.B.S. members from regions two, three, and four participated in the day long meeting Oct. 18 in the 'nursing auditorium. Guest speakers on the program included Dr. Prank Wade of South- eastern Oklahoma State University, Dr. Howard McCarley of Austin College, and Dr. Paul Cowan of North Texas State University. Barry.Bates, with the help of cooks James McGowan Cleftj and Henry Cantrell Crightj, prepared fried fish for the evening get together. ' - Dr. Frank Wade of Southeastern Oklahoma State University explains his water reclamation project during the conference. ' ' The Voyagers, along with a select band, performed for the visiting biologists at the evening fish fry .

A large crowd packed 1nto the gym to view the exhibit Instructor Gerald Locke concentrates on the cathode-ray keypunch machine display. 'ay tt, Dr. McAdams and the band provided musical entertainment. Business Exhibit Shows Off y Advanced Equipment The Business Division's annual business machine exhib- ition was held Oct. 10 in the Grayson Gym. Students from local high schools joined college students and faculty in viewing the newest business equipment. Among those companies entering exhibits in the show were Bell Telephone, Xerox Corporation, Singer, and Texas Instruments. The most expensive piece of equip- ment, an advanced accounting machine with the capacity of a computer, was shown by Regional Systems Center. This machine was valued at 380, 000.
