Sharpshoofers Ca pfure Turkeys The Tenth Annual Turkey Shoot, sponsored by the G.C.C. Gun Club, was held Nov. 25 on the school fir- ing range. Eleven turkeys were donated for the competition. Winners of the various events were Eddie Robertson, who won the men's archery competitiong Jean Aly, women's archeryg Mike Alsup and Sondra Sullivan, rock throwg Tom Evans and Kerry Proffitt, 22-rifleg Ed Kostyniak and Brownie Bringe, shot- gung and Ioe Merritt, trap shooting. The gate turkey was drawn by Rodger Alexander, and Dr. Wester won his first turkey in the slingshot cornpeti- tion. Bernice Whaley won the wom- en's division in this event. Proceeds go to a scholarship fund for prospective students. GRAYSON COUNTY COLLEGE Presents bk Nov. 211, zz. zz p . GCC Auditorium , t 'The Fantasticks' , a musical comedy, was presented through ar special agreement with Music Theate International, 119 West 57th Street, New York, New York. It was performed November 21, 22, and 23 a the College auditorium. ' The play tells the tale of a boy and girl who are duped into a .romance by their fathers. They realiz they've been tricked and set forth separately to learn of life . When next they meet, they realize that the do indeed love each other. Originally the play was presented by Lore Noto at Sullivan Street Playhouse New York City in 1960. lt was suggested by a play, Les Romanesques by Demund Rostand. This pla had an unusual set compared to the previous plays, as it had no scenery, 'just a set of props. The major characters include Cindy Spradlin, Denison freshman, as The Muteg Bill Wade, as Narrato CEl Gallop: Ronelle Castleberry, Denison sophomore, as Luisag Brian Wolff, Sherman freshman, as Matt Bobby Higginbotham, Denison sophomore, as Bellomyg Jim Cook, Sherman freshman, as The Old Acro Clienrybg Steve Perkins, Denison freshman, as Mortimer. Jerry Farden, drama instructor, directed and produced the playg musical director for the play was Boy Whitworth, with orchestral preparation by Dr. McAdams and David Petrash.
