Gun Club Draws Several Members The Gun Club is organized to promote gun safety by allowing to shoot their firearms under the guidance of the sponsors at the G.C.C. rifle range, which is equipped for skeet, trap, pistol, small and large bore rifles, which is maintained by the club only. 'Gif' Safety is strongly emphasized, on the range, field and at home. The members of the Gun Club planned a busy schedule this year, Gun Club members take time to get in practice at the College rifle range. Y , , , dinner were their biggest activi- ties. They sponsored the pie throw, quick draw, cigarette roll- ing and tobacco spitting during Western Week. The earnings from the Turkey Shoot were used for scholarships .

Voyagers Travel +o Spread Song GCC's traveling choir, the Voyagers, enjoyed a busy schedule this season. The group performed for such various audiences as those of the State Fair of Texas, area high schools, and local clubs such as the Lions, Rotary, and Kiwanis. Sponsor, Boyd Whit- worth, is planning a tour of Mississippi and Louisiana, including a New Orleans visit, in the late spring. l w U I tl Ly' yum A large crowd watched the Voyagers perform at the Valkha Beauty Pageant. FCA Serves the College The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an association of athletes from all sports and is sponsored by the Bible Chair and coaches Spivey and Barker. The club sponsored several activities and fund-raising projects and has won the School Spirit Award for the past two years. A tennis tournament was held in the fall in which there were over 100 participants from as far away as Amarillo. The club also sponsored the powder puff football game and the intramural basket- ball games between Freshmen and Sophomores and faculty and students. Other activities included carpeting the coaches' offices and furnishing the lounge in the new athletic dorm on West Campus. Approximately 120 children from tl1e Mental Retardation Center enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt conducted by the F. C.A.
