Director Charles McAdams leads the band as they play a tune from the twenties for a receptive Fair Audience. Band En+er1'ains a+ S+a+e Fair Once a year the G. C. C. band is invited to the State Fair of Texas to perform. This year they were accompanied by Ronelle Castleberry, Miss Valkha X, of G.C.C. During their stay of one day they performed 5 times, playing such selec- tions as Summer Time, You Are the Sunshine of My Life, Nothing from Nothing, and Delta Dawn. During this year, they were active in the Inter-Collegiate Band performances which were sponsored by Texas Jr. Colleges at Houston, Texas. They also attended a work shop spon- sored by the Woody Hermit Orchestra. Some of the Dixeland band and the Social Social Class Band. Bible Chair Draws Srudenrs The Bible Chair continued to have monthly luncheons for all students this year, including spe- cial groups, such as Journalism classes, and Athletes. The stu- dents in Bible Chair attended retreats to strengthen their reli- gious life. Approximately 50 to 75 people attend the Bible Chair daily. It is funded by 26 area Church of Christ Churches in Grayson and Fannin Counties. The group is overseen by the Travis Street Church of Christ in Sher- man. Bible Chair offers credit courses for all college students. This place is not just for members of the Church of Christ Church, it is for anybody and everybody who wants to come. The Bible Chair's main purpose is helping students who are interested in studying the Bible.
