WesT Campus Opened For Fall Classes Grayson CounTy College acquired 465 acres Trom Perrin Air Force Base which was oTTicially closed in June oT I97l. The addiTional TaciliTies included on The 465 acres were aparTmenTs, dor- miTories, Three baseball diamonds, Two Tennis courTs, Three swimming pools, Two parks, a nine-hole golf course, caTeTeria and sTudenT union, a gymnasium and The Silver Wings Club, used Tor campus dances. Seven TaculTy members reside on The WesT Campus, 80 boys, and I I couples in The housing TaciliTies pro- vided. Courses presenTly oTTered are: swimming, denTal assisTance, nurs- ing, agriculTure, physical educaTion, air condiTioning, auTo mechanics, radio-TV repair and elecTronics. New courses planned are: piloT Training programs, crop spraying, agriculTure equipment Technical courses and an agriculTure science- Technical course. 06 , Jim Spivey, baslceTball coach, held beginning, inTermediaTe and advanced golT classes on The WesT Campus golT course.
