These new addifions bring fhe fofal fo I8l courses being of- fered in fhe day program af Grayson Counfy College. There are 3l business courses, 27 engineering-science, 26 fine arfs courses, 42 liberal arfs, 4I fechnical vocafional and I2 healfh-occupafion courses. ln choosing a career or field of sfudy fhe Grayson Counfy Col- lege sfudenf has a broad field fo selecf from. A few of fhe new courses of- fered for fhe firsf fime were: office occupafions, culfural an- fhropology, swimming, hand- ball, ecology, conservafion and recreafion and denfal assisfing. Freshman Joe Sidney prepares a chemisfry lab assignmenf. A major parf of fhe chemisfry courses involved puffing info pracfical applicafion whaf was covered in fhe lecfures fhaf week. Dr. Charles McAdams' music appreciafion class heard some sfrange new sounds when Cecil lssac from Ausfin College music deparfmenf demonsfrafed a music synfhesizer. The synfhesizer, a new innovafion in confemporary music, enables a person fo produce a limifless number of differenf fones.

Technical VocaTional direcTor Dr. Bill Dean along wiTh nursing insTrucTor Mary Moses and oTher direcTors helped counsel sTudenTs during regisTraTion on course selecTion and sched- uling.
