Von Stoeser, Ten enthusiatic girls deserve much of the credit for cheering the foot- ball and basketball teams on to victory. What would a football or basketball game be Without cheerleaders? lt would be similar to cheerleaders without fans to yell for our RAMS. Yes, the cheerleaders can do nothing unless the spectators support and yell with them. School spirit is essential for all of us at Grayslake High. Leading the Varisty cheerleaders in Go-Fight-Win yells were co-captains Diane Check and Mary Lou VonStoeser. They were assisted by Vivian Sauer Bonnie Reich, Gayle Nicholas, and Linda Wagner. The junior Varisty Cheerleaders this year were Sandra Subject. Gail Baird, Ruth Tegen and Susan Rittenhouse. Miss Frantz and Mrs. Pratt sponsor the cheerleading squads. PERSONAL APPEARANCE CAST AND CREW CHIEFS I ST ROW ONE: D. johnson, D. johnson, J. Anton, L. Chmelir, V. Sauer, P. I-Iarders. ROW TWO: I. Back, J. Shaub, J. Anderson, P. Rockenbach, M. Patterson, R. Kader, S. Eckhoff, J. johnson, T. Rockenbach, M. Quinn. The fall play Personal Appearance was produced by the Junior Class under the direction of Mr. Behan. For the first time the total attendance of the three nights of production totaled over 1000 theatre goers. It was the largest audience to date of any play held at the high school. Another factor that helped make the play a great hit was the addition of live music. A thirty piece orchestra under the direction of Mr. Kessinger of the music department provided music as a mood background and during intermissions. The male leads of the play were portrayed by Richard Kader and Paul Harders. The feminine lead was played by Vivian Sauer.
