Class History In the year 1953, we the graduating class of 1965 began our educational career at Grays Chapel High School. The class consisted of 43 boys and girls, eager to learn and advance forward. Along the way, we have lost many of these, but gained others who are still contributing to our present graduat- ing class. Our first years prepared andtrained us for a higher and more meaningful knowledge. These years also hold many fond memories for us. The years passed and we suddenly found that we had approached the long awaited day we had all dreamed of--we entered high school. We will never forget the many happy experiences we have shared. The trips on the activity bus, basketball games, parties, club meetings, class rings, and the Junior-Senior Banquet will always remain in our hearts. As the last of our twelve years draws to an end, we appreciate and praise the helpful guidance shown to us by our teachers, parents, and friends. Here at Chapel we have made many friends that will never be forgotten. We will always treasure the value of these friendships. We lookto our future years with apprehension as well as joy. Our sojourn here has prepared us for the hard road we must travel soon. Class Historians Henry Hickerson Brenda Lineberry Class Song From our friends we depart Though we hold in our heart The memories lingering on J oyous days we've spent here Are a treasure dear Chapel High will live on In our hearts. 6510 1:15-IO CHORUS: Walk on through the world Walk on toward your goal With your dreams held high and sure Walk on, Walk on, With hope in your heart Class of '65 march on Be faithful to your school. 31 As we leave Chapel High With a tear in our eye Please don't be afraid of We're beginning our life In a wider world One that calls each To find his own place. the dark Bill Allen Junior Cook gi eg Junior Class Officers President ..... .
