FOREWORD “Starlight, Starbright First star I've seen tonight Wish I may, wish I might Have this wish I wish tonight.” What is to keep us grown up children from wishing—save the loss of the sustaining qualities, fun, hope and faith? Through the years as our school has grown, we have faced realities and forgotten how to wish. Let us return to the land of nursery rhymes—to the “Old Woman Who Lived in The Shoe”. Perhaps the good fairy will wave her magic wand and turn our big black shoe into a size large enough for the many, many children it now tries to shelter. As the children outgrow their shoe home (see, Richard Simmons of The Class of ’52 left his shoe and The Tracks, too), they leave to find that The A, B, C’s of CHAPEL MEMORIES have made a vivid mark on their lives and the lives of others. Our wish is full of hope and faith, that soon “Old King Thomas” will have room for his children and their blocks of the future. Because— “Old King Thomas, is a merry old soul And a merry old soul is he. He calls for his men and his ladies Ten And he counsels them dutifully.”
