Theme Statement “Change” is the chosen theme for the 1979 edition of the Saga. This theme is the outgrowth of a yearbook staff canoe trip and conversations regarding recent events in our lives and the community. The constant flow of the river, the sights and sounds of the day. were all reminders to us that change is a real and essential part of our lives. “Change” can be synonymous with growth and to this end we are given the opportunity to invest time and energy to secure an education. Perhaps knowing how to bring about constructive change, is what our days at G.H.S. are all about. All of this to the end that we may live happy-purposeful lives among a community of happy-purposeful people. Theme 3
