Within GOAL, students and instructors work closely together to form friendships and teaching situa- tions which usually extend far beyond the limits of a regu- lar classroom.

GOAL is a chance for people to make positive commitments to themselves and to the people around them. It is a chance for people to develop trust and learn that most limits are self-imposed, and that they can be overcome.
