Junior Play Jeepers Creepers March 29, 1957 Christmas On Erie Street Christmas Play 28 Junior Prom 30 Senior Play Due to lack of thinking on my part, we have no pictures of the senior play, GRANDAD GOES WILD, presented on November 22. I will try to make up for this boo-boo by telling you a little about it. When twelve people are forced to spend the night in a house which usually ac- commodates only two, there's bound to be action and comedy. Mrs. Morton and .er father have invited some teen-age relatives to spend a few weeks with them. Among their guests is niece Betty, who thinks the boy next door is pretty special. A freak storm which blows the roof off another relative's home, adds Miss Drusilla to the family circle. She's a hilarious old maid who always has a cold in the head. Before Mrs. Morton can catch her breath, a telegram advises her of the impending visit of the prominent State President of her Ladies’ Club, Mrs. Victoria Harrington, who, traveling with her daughter, Della, arrives bag and baggage causing a great deal of commotion. While Mrs. Morton is keeping the teen-agers out of the way, and Della is busy trying to capture Betty's boy friend, Grandad is getting into mischief. Never one to be snobbish, he finds a bosom pal down along the tracks. Hooley, grandad's new friend is a young tramp with holes in his shoes and shirt, and patches on his pants. Hooley has a ridiculous invention which he is anxious to sell to Grandad. Grandad is equally anxious to buy but knows he will have a job getting his life-savings without Mrs. Morton's knowledge. He brings Hooley home, and when the tramp meets the haughty Mrs. Harrington, the result is riotous. A police officer finds Hooley and informs the family that all tramps in the neighborhood have been quarantined because of an outbreak of illness among them. Everybody in the house must remain there for two weeks, including Hooley, the tramp! A lot of fun results and Grandad has his hands full trying to keep Mrs. Morton from finding out that he was the one who brought Hooley home. The members of the cast were: Mrs. Morton, Karen Carlson; Grandad, Larry Andrews; Angie, Marjorie Wolff; Betty Shadduck, Connie Davis; Kip Shadduck, Ronald Kellogg; Jack Norwood, Paul Johnson; Horatious Xenophon Hooley, Roger Nelson; Grogan, Russell Ballinger; Jane Woods, Vivian Fenton; Mrs. Harrington, Judy Larson; Della Harrington, Judy Kenyon; Miss Dobbins, Penny Hull and Clare Madsen as the paper boy.
