Under the able guidance of Mr, Clifford Perry, chairman, the School Board has expanded the school's various programs so as to insure our having the best education possible. Included in evidence of prog- ress this year are the co-ordina- tion of science education, cen- tral operation of the school sys- tem's cafeterias, two full-time guidance directors, and the building of a trade school for boys interested in skilled profes- sions. For these contributions to the betterment of our system, we are most sincerely grateful. l i7 ROW ONE: Mr, Paul Pegram, Mrs. Norton Tennilleg Mr. Clifford Perry, Chairman, Mr. M. C Benton, Jr., the Rev, William Crawford. ROW TWO: Mr. William Knott, Mr. Phil Froelich. We look to our administrators Cx ROW ONE: Mr. Marvin Ward, Ass't. Superintendent, Dr. A. Craig Phillips, Superintendent, Dr. William Self, Ass't. Superintendent. ROW TWO: Mr. C. T. Leinbach, Comptroller, Mr. Ned Smith, Administrative Ass't. As the school system is now be- ing converted from the 8-4 to the 6-3-3 organization, next year Gray will have only tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade classes. For the purpose of a study of the senior high school curriculum, the Administrative Staff, in conjunction with the School Board, has organi- zed a Central Committee, composed of representatives from both the city school system and the public, ln order that we may be offered the best education possible, a compre- hensive two-year investigation is be- ing made to find weaknesses and possible means of improvement.
