SENIOR PROPHECY On May 11, 2018, I, the former Angie Autry, had the seniors of 1978 and their sponsor at my home in Hawaii for our first class reunion. The former Pam Graves, her husband, and six children were the first to arrive. Pam now owns her own Medical Pharmacy in Arabia. Behind Pam and her family came Debbi Metcalf and her husband. Debbi has a night job as a nurse in a New Jersey hospital. She works the night shift so that she can be home in the daytime to work around the house. She says that she can't work at home at night because they have no ELECTRICITY. Cindy and her husband called from the coast of Hawaii for us to come and get them. They came on their ocean liner from Miami, Florida. Cindy plays the piano for the Moonlight Orchestra and tends to their 22 puppies in her spare time. When we returned home from the coast, we found that Tommy and Debbie Rooker, their triplets, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Dunlap, and their two sons had arrived. Tommy now owns Rooker's Meat Company in Memphis, Term., while Debbie tends to the kids and does the housework around their new three-story geometrical-shaped house. Mike now plays basketball with the Globetrotters. He is famous world-wide for his ' 'lay-ups.'' The next to arrive were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Huddleston and their daughter. Stanley is the head coach for the Los Angeles Lakers. He began with a good record of 0-0 but now has gone to a 1-20 record. He is not giving up though. Along with them were Mr. and Mrs. Randy Hobson. They have no children. It seems that Randy always ' 'falls asleep'' early after farming his 5900 acres of land. While chatting with all of our friends, Susan Daniel arrived. We learned that she owns her own Hersheys Chocolate Factory and half of the Coca-Cola Distributing Company. Next, the former Janis Byrd arrived, followed by her husband and two sets of red-headed twins. Janis is now the President of FHA in Washington D.C. Arriving with them was Ouida Skelton. She is not married yet but is still looking in Ashland and Holly Springs for someone. Living at home, Ouida works for a big lawyer in Memphis, Tenn. She hopes to be married some day. Mr. and Mrs. Robby Steele and their four children arrived next. Robby sets out pine trees for the forestry when he is not house cleaning and babysitting. His wife is away a lot. She plays in the New Orleans Musical Band. Behind them was the former Penny Gresham, her husband, and three girls. Penny is now the owner of Kelly Lyn Figure Salons all over the world. They are now living in Europe where she has opened nine new salons. Mr. and Mis. Keith Thompson landed their helicopter in the backyard. Keith has his own farm in Alabama and he poisons cotton for farmers all over the state. Hours later our last schoolmate, Stanley Bezzo arrived. We learned that he was delayed by a pool game at the Ashland Drive In. Stanley owns half of Ashland's farming land where he grows hay for a living, but he spends most of his time playing pool. We then had all of our seniors together, but wait! Where was our sponsor, Mrs. Carlie? Soon we saw her walking up the side walk and, oh, my goodness! She was carrying a baby. As they entered into the house, we learned that the Wilsons now have a nine month-old baby boy, Rudolph, Jr. Mrs. Carlie is still teaching at Gray but plans to quit soon to be with the baby. This completed the guest list of our senior class. We all enjoyed seeing how the others had done in their chosen fields and in their families; even Mis. Carlie ! ! ! 22
