0 SCH00l self 5, is 9 3 ' f 55'- ,r ffl LOOK' IT CHANGED' Believe it or not these two pictures are both of the Gravette School The one ab0ve was built in 1902 and is now the back part of the present building, which is pictured below With the consolidation of rural school districts, more room was needed, so in 1926 the town raised the necessary funds to enlarge the old building, making it the school it is at the present The auditorium was built in l93L to provide for the musica1,dramatic, and ath letic activities In the last year the interior of the school building has been redecorated and a new lighting system has been installed The Parent Teachers' Association provided fluorescent lights for the lower grades, and the senior classes of 46, 47, and L8 purchased them for the high school study hall In the last two years tyring and speech have been added for the Junior and Senior classes Also the library has been increased by the purchase of many new books This year ends our high school education Though we have studied diligently trying to gain useful knowledge, we have enjoyed our school days and regret that they must end In closing, we, the Senior class of 1947, wish to say thanks for the memories ug P' my ' -ut I P I 'A -- 'il il E I H ii '4 ' is -mi, . -.f. ,,
