The Christmas Guest was the play selected for this year's holiday production. lt was presented on December I8, for the faculty, students, and friends of Graveraet, under the direction of Mr. William N. Grandgeorge. The play takes place in a little Irish town where Mike O'Hara and his blind daughter, Moira, live in poverty. Every year at Christmas, Mr. O'l lara invited a poor man to his home as a Christmas guest, despite protests from his friends and neighbors. As if a reward for his generosity, this year's guest proved a blessing. After arriving at the O'Hara's home, the visitor laid his hand upon Moira's head, and left without a word. Moira then opened her eyes to find that she could see. Mrs. Mulcahy, played hy Delores Smith, argues with Mike 0'Hara, Charles Kangas, about taking in a tramp as his Christ- mas guest. Tl1 Christmas Guest' Peter, a page, characterized hy Paulette Bueholtz, and Lady Carherry, portrayed hy Cara Bonello, bring a basket of food to Mike 0'Hara and his daughter Moira. David Boyd, as the fhristmas guest, prays while Mr. O'I-lara goes for their scanty Christmas dinner. I can see! exclaimed Moira after the Christ- mas guest and laid his hand upon her forehead. 32 5 . i J W.. fi Y , A 5 X if, K A X 3 Q Y Q v ' , 5 xx? 1.
