IIEIIIU TIO E RAISE our cup to our lips and say, To life --and to the full- ness thereof-to its achievements and disappointments, its lasting friendships and disheartening conflicts, its joy in the midst of surrounding sorrow, its wide opportunities requiring cease- less struggle, its hates and prejudices, its truth and faith. Again--to life-and to all the good and accompanying evil it has brought and to the good it will bring. So in this recording, born at a time of world upheaval, we aflirm our faith in the completeness and beauty of being.

FUIIEWUHII AM YOURS-for you to treasure and preserve. To bring back i to you, no matter where or what you may be, poignant memories of the you of yesteryear. I am a souvenir of three full years of your life, some day to be indistinct in retrospect if not for me. I am the path that leads back to the fond recollection of friendships, work, and play at Simon Gratz.

p 0 REGARD life as a journey is an old concept, yet i it is a good one, for we are ever traveling from the past, through the present, to the future. We are always passing wayside stations that indicate a section of the journey done. Such a landmark is our graduation, it indicates for us the end of one itinerary, the begin- ning of a new. From our little trip through high school, we may perceive the main outlines of the land- i scape that will greet us later. Here we have known oc. attempts that have ended in disappointments, ambi- tions that were never fulfilled, and we will know them again. Yet the whole of our school experience was good, for difficulties were lost in daily routine and passed into the hope for the morrow, and work became fun when shared. This, not our diplomas, means school to us. Later we shall learn again that To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive, and true success is to labor.
